Our Story

About VoltIQ

We built SolarScore because homeowners deserve to know what they're buying.

The Problem

Solar is a $30,000 to $50,000 purchase. Homeowners get quotes, but they have no way to verify if the price is fair or if the production estimates are realistic. Installers use glossy brochures and sales pressure. There's no neutral third party to verify the numbers.

Our Solution

SolarScore analyzes your quote against government data: NLR PVWatts solar production models, EIA electricity rates, Lawrence Berkeley Lab market data. We calculate whether your price is competitive, whether the production estimate is realistic, and whether your equipment is quality. We give you a clear verdict and specific negotiating scripts.

We're Neutral

  • ✓We don't sell leads to installers
  • ✓Our analysis is never influenced by installer relationships
  • ✓We don't promote one company over another
  • ✓Our scores are based purely on data — not on who's paying us

Our Commitment

Every score is calculated by math. Every explanation is written in plain English. We're not trying to sell you something — just helping you understand what you're buying before you sign.

The Data We Use

  • •NLR PVWatts: Government solar production estimates for your specific address
  • •EIA: Real electricity rates by state
  • •Lawrence Berkeley Lab Tracking the Sun: Real market price data
  • —All APIs are public and free
