1. Informational Purpose Only

VoltIQ ("we," "us," "our") provides independent data analysis of residential solar installation quotes for informational purposes only. Nothing on this website or in any report generated by SolarScore constitutes legal, financial, investment, or professional advice of any kind. VoltIQ does not recommend that you sign, reject, or decline any specific contract. Any negotiation guidance provided is informational only, based on publicly available market data, and does not constitute professional advice. All decisions are solely yours.

2. No Professional Relationship

Use of this service does not create an attorney-client, financial advisor-client, contractor, or any other professional relationship between you and VoltIQ. You should consult a qualified and licensed professional — including but not limited to a licensed contractor, financial advisor, or attorney — before entering into any solar energy contract or making any related financial decision.

3. Data Sources and Accuracy

Our analysis draws on publicly available government data sources including the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL PVWatts v8), the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. These sources are credited for attribution purposes only. VoltIQ is not affiliated with, certified by, or endorsed by any of these agencies.

We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose of any data or analysis provided. Market conditions, installation costs, and energy rates change frequently. Reports reflect data available at the time of generation and may not reflect current market conditions.

4. Data Collection and Use

By submitting a quote for analysis through SolarScore, you agree that VoltIQ may collect, store, and use the data you provide, subject to the following terms:

• Personal data such as your name, email address, and property address is used solely to generate your report and communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Report access is protected by time-limited authenticated links sent to your email address. VoltIQ does not store passwords.
• Anonymized quote data — including system size, price per watt, equipment brands, state and zip code, and report scores — may be aggregated and used by VoltIQ to generate market intelligence reports and benchmarking products. No personally identifying information or specific property addresses are included in or derivable from these aggregated reports.
• VoltIQ may in the future offer products or services to solar installers and industry participants based on anonymized aggregate data collected through this platform. Any such use will remain subject to the anonymization standards described in this section.
• We retain submitted quote data for as long as necessary to operate and improve our services. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at reports@vltiq.com.

5. Third-Party Relationships

VoltIQ does not today have referral, affiliate, or financial relationships with any solar installer, manufacturer, financing company, or energy provider that would influence our analysis or scoring. We do not receive referral fees or compensation from any party based on your purchasing or contracting decisions.

We reserve the right to enter into commercial relationships with industry participants in the future, including but not limited to installer listing programs, referral arrangements, or sponsored features. If and when such relationships exist, they will be disclosed clearly and will not influence the independent scoring methodology applied to your quote. This Terms of Service will be updated accordingly, and material changes will be communicated to registered users via email prior to taking effect.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VoltIQ and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or reliance on, any report, data, score, or analysis provided by SolarScore — including but not limited to damages resulting from decisions to sign, reject, or negotiate any solar contract. You use this service at your own risk.

7. User Acknowledgment

By checking the acknowledgment box presented before your first quote submission, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, and specifically that:

• SolarScore's analysis is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.
• You will not rely solely on this analysis to make any financial or contractual decision.
• You understand that report scores are generated by fixed mathematical formulas applied to the data you provide, and that the accuracy of your report depends on the accuracy of the information you submit.
• VoltIQ bears no responsibility for any outcome resulting from your decisions.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. For non-material changes, continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. For material changes — including changes to data use practices or the introduction of installer commercial relationships — we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New York County, New York.
